Lexi Braun picked up two quick fouls in the first five minutes and was sent to the bench. The rest of the Huskies struggled at first, but managed to get things going on their own.
In the second half, the Huskies upped their defense and got things going offensively as Braun returned to the floor. She finished with 23 points despite playing limited minutes. “Our defensive intensity was better in the second half,” head coach Rod Breuer said. Wahpeton also shot well, going 12-16 from the free throw line.
